My style of painting abstract landscapes is heavily focused on colour and composition; it is a driving motivation for me. I like to experiment with colour, texture and materials through the use of oil paints, wax, fire and burnt ply.
Sculptures are created with plywood that has been burnt, CHAINSAWED and spray painted. The burning of the wood canvas is symbolic for me. Not only is burning an important step in forest rejuvenation and ecology; it is also a reminder for me to keep my work fresh and to keep evolving.
